Operation and maintenance of rivers and canals

VNF is a public institution in charge of the ecological transition in the river. It manages a network of 6,700 km of canals, rivers and streams that irrigate the territories and meet several uses: environmental, social and economic.

Its agents regulate water resources in the general interest and respect for the environment. VNF creates opportunities for the development of activities on and around the river and promotes the transition of our society towards new economic and ecological models in favor of low carbon freight and sustainable tourism
